A: Yes, but they may be asked to wait in the waiting area. If you have concerns, please contact us beforehand.
A: Wear loose clothing – whatever you feel comfortable in. Depending on the area being treated, you may be asked to undress to an appropriate level. If you prefer not to be in underwear, bring a pair of shorts. You will always be covered with a towel for privacy.
A: Bring any relevant medical reports (scans, X rays, etc.), a bottle of water is good, although we always provide one. Also bring a warm layer in cooler months.
A: Yes. All new clients must complete a consultation form before their first session. If you are an existing client and your issues have changed, please fill in the form a second time when you book. You will receive a link to an online form together with your booking confirmation email. The form is quick and easy to complete and submit online. If you do not complete the form, we will complete the form with you in person, however, this does take away from time on the massage bed.
A: If you have serious underlying medical conditions, we recommended that you consult your doctor beforehand. Your doctor may need to confirm that massage therapy is appropriate for you.
2. Massage Types & Treatments
A: We offer Sports, Deep Tissue, Swedish, Lymph Drainage, and Hot Stone massage — available both In‑Studio and Mobile. Each type is offered in multiple formats: Targeted, Standard, Extended, or Express, depending on your needs. You can view the full list on the home page or bookings page, or download the price list directly.
A: SRMT can help with most soft tissue discomfort, including muscle tension, postural strain, overuse or overtraining, post workout soreness, and everyday musculoskeletal discomfort. It does not need to be a sports injury. SRMT is effective for issues arising from sport, work, or daily life.
A: It depends on how long you’ve had the issue, the severity of the discomfort, your overall health, and how consistently you follow self-care recommendations. Long standing issues may require more sessions than recent minor strains. Your therapist will assess your condition and recommend a tailored treatment plan.
A: Most clients experience noticeable improvement within the first few sessions. Once symptoms reduce, you can continue with self-care independently or move into a maintenance massage schedule to prevent tension from returning.
A: A maintenance massage is a regularly scheduled treatment to prevent muscle tension from building up again. Typical frequency ranges from every 4–8 weeks for most people, fortnightly for high training loads, or every 2–3 months for low tension lifestyles. Some clients don’t need maintenance at all; others enjoy the routine check in.
A: Yes. Sports massage is widely used for recovery, performance support, reducing training related tension, and preparing for events. During event prep, weekly or fortnightly sessions are common. During lighter phases, every 4–6 weeks is usually enough.
A: It varies. Weekly for heavy training, physical jobs, or high stress. Monthly for general maintenance. Occasionally once or twice a year for minor recurring tension. Most clients settle into a 4–6 week rhythm, but frequency can always be adjusted.
A: One massage is completely fine. We only recommend follow-ups if they are genuinely needed.
A: Please avoid strenuous exercise after your session. This includes running, weight training, high intensity classes, and power yoga. Gentle walking or stretching is acceptable but not ideal.
