Flying to Johannesburg for the Interview
On Wed 24 September, I travelled to Johannesburg for a live interview on Sauma HD Radio, the online streaming station in Braamfontein. The studio buzzed with warm, relaxed energy. The humour, noise and chaos of live radio kicked in immediately, and the vibe made the whole experience fun from the start.
Talking Recovery, Movement and JLS Sports Massage Therapy
During the interview, I spoke about recovery principles, movement and sports massage. I also shared the behind‑the‑scenes work that drives Jordan Lloyd Sim Sports Massage Therapy. The radio team kept the conversation moving, and the listeners stayed engaged as we covered each topic. As a result, the session flowed easily from one idea to the next.
The Live Phone-In Competition
To add more energy, we ran a live phone‑in competition during the show. Listeners called in and answered a quick recovery‑related question. After that, we entered each caller into a draw for a free sports massage session in Cape Town. After the show, we drew the winner — Ntsako Makwakwa — who walked away with a full treatment voucher and a massive grin.
A Day of Fun, Community, and Good Energy
The entire experience brought together travel, radio energy, community engagement and genuine connection. The day gave me a chance to show what sports massage and recovery work look like in real life. It also let me bring a bit of Cape Town energy to Johannesburg, which felt great.
